Waterbeach Community Primary School Win Award Working with Museums

Waterbeach Community Primary School Win Award Working with Museums. Year 5 and 6 pupils at Waterbeach Community Primary School have won Cambridgeshire Young Persons Award presented by The Cambridgeshire Local History Association for their project: “Conflict and Community: The lasting Legacy of Waterbeach RAF Station & Barracks” led by The Farmland Museum & Denny Abbey and Waterbeach Barracks Museum, funded by The Big Lottery.

Reflections on Cambridge – part of the Open Cambridge weekend

Visit the 1950s house in a room! The Museum will be putting on a disply of 1950s domestic life with all the mod cons of the era from TV’s to vacuum cleaners.

Basketmaking Workshop

Plant Dyeing workshop

15 August, 2010; 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
On this course, students will discover some of the sources of rich, glowing dye colours to be found in the plant world. Participants will learn how to apply natural dye colours to textile fibres, using a variety of materials and techniques.
